Bloomingdale's and Saks Off 5th outlets announce new stores

It's pretty much accepted as fact that American consumers like their off-priced clothing and discount designer fashions. That means good news for outlet stores looking to expand.

Saks Off 5th, Saks Fifth Avenue's lower priced outlet chain, has announced a new location at Woodland Hill's Shopping Center in Beverly Hills, Cali. The 30,000-square-foot space is slated to open in 2016. Saks recently opened another Off 5th Chain in Aurora, Ill., and they've announced another new location in Alberta Canada set to open in 2016.

Saks' competitor Bloomingale's has announced two new outlet stores opening this November, the first at The Shops at Liberty Place in Piladelphia, Penn., and the second in Westfield Mission Valley in San Diego, Cali. The new locations now bring the total number of Bloomingdale's outlet stores to 16.
