Bloomingdale's to bring in PHM Saint Pères pop-up

Bloomingdale’s just invented a new strategy for their business. Next year, the specialty department stores will host a pop-up for Paris-based brand PHM Saint Pères.
The locations hosting these temporary shops include Bloomingdale’s Beverly Center location and 59th Street flagship. The department store will also offer PHM Saint Pères on its e-commerce site. The reason for this is due to the need for stores to reinvent themselves for retail. “The retail climate is changing and customers want more of a sense of discover and new things in stores,” Kevin Harter, vice president of fashion direction for men’s and home for Bloomingdale’s, told WWD. The idea of bringing PHM Saint Pères is to introduce more pop-ups and collaborations into the Bloomingdale’s atmosphere.
The Parisian brand is known for its multi-brand men’s clothing. Designed by Pierre Henri Mattout, the brand encompasses an edgy, modern streetwear style. The pop-up shops will be approximately 500 square feet and will reflect the brand’s Paris store. The shops open March 1, 2016 and will stay open through June.
