London - Luxury shoe brand Charles Philip Shanghai whose iconic slippers for men and women have been embraced by celebrities and global trendsetters alike has launched an online store to boost its international sales and to consolidate its brand image globally.
The new online store was created by TLG Commerce, an e-commerce agency based in Barcelona and China, specialised in creating online stores for international markets. For Charles Philip Shanghai, TLG developed two online selling platforms: one for the global market and one exclusively for the Chinese market.
Charles Philip Shanghai wants to position itself as a global brand
According to a press statement released by Charles Philip Shanghai yesterday, the global store aims to attract distributors and customers from around the world, especially from Europe, America and Asian territories such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. Through the new website, the company also seeks to position itself as a global luxury brand.
The Chinese online store has been adapted to suit the needs and tastes of consumers in China and integrates the country’s most popular payment solutions and social networks. It also includes some customisation options exclusively for Chinese costumers. Charles Philip Shanghai hopes to attract more buyers in China through this exclusive e-shop as the market has become a priority target for the brand. It is currently one of the most international Chinese luxury brands and operates a flagship store in Shanghai since 2013.
Raised in Milan and living in Shanghai, Charles Philip's career as a shoe designer took off after he crafted his first pair of white-and-blue striped shoes for a cobbler on Shanghai's Mao Ming Road. That was in 2010 and in 2011, Charles Philip Shanghai was launched. Today, the brand's Milanese team around Charles Philip and design partner Sheila Pitigala is known for using bold prints and new manufacturing techniques to create unique and high-quality products.
