Los Angeles - The long-awaited arrival of Cos in downtown LA is finally over. The contemporary retailer, sister company of H&M, just opened its flagship in the city this past Friday, August 25.

The space bows near other popular modern retailers including Acne, A.P.C., Aesop, Mykita, and more. The store occupies approximately 5,511 square feet space in its downtown location. The reason Cos chose this location was due to its similar aesthetic and culture.“L.A. has always been a city of huge importance to the Cos brand and the architecture, art and design scene here are all points of inspiration to our creative team,” Cos managing director Marie Honda told WWD.

In the future, it seems that Cos is planning to open more retail stores in the U.S., expanding its footprint. The brand already has stores located in Beverly Center and South Coast Plaza, as well as 209 stores internationally. In the U.S., Cos currently has 15 stores. After the Los Angeles location has settled in, it seems likely that the sophisticated, minimal brand will continue its retail growth.
