Just when you thought the Hamptons couldn't get any preppier it did. Country Club Prep, the Atlanta-based company, has announced that they will be opening a pop-up shop this week right before Memorial Day weekend on 64 Jobs Lane. Country Club prep is the self-proclaimed "Zappos for preppy clothing."

They run an e-commerce site and two brick-and-mortar stores. The company was founded by Stephen Glasgow and his law school comrade Matt Watson. They have an incredibly wide array of brands under their belt, including Jack Rogers, Southern Tide, Southern Proper, and Lauren James.

Glasgow and Watson came up with the idea for Country Club Prep when they realized that people in their thirties like them who had a classic more refined sense of style weren't shopping in shopping malls. There was a market for the thirty-something preps that needed to be filled. In March 2012, they created the website running it at night after leaving their corporate jobs during the day.

Once the business took off, they left the world of corporate law and turned their fashion side-project into a full-time endeavor. In August 2014, they opened their first brick-and-mortar store in Charlottesville, Virginia, and then in November, they opened a second store in Lexington, Kentucky. While Country Club Prep is targeted more towards the Southern preps (think the law school classes at Emory and Vanderbilt, or those with vacation homes in Charleston, South Carolina), their fourth largest market is actually New York City.

It only made sense that the company would finally bring something for the New York shoppers, and while it isn't located in the Big Apple, given their preppy market the Hamptons is actually the perfect place for them. Glasgow and Watson actually have something very unique planned for the pop-up. Given that they sell so many brands, they will be offering one men's brand and one woman's brand each month.

For June, they will be offering Southern Tide menswear and Lauren James for women. In July, Mali Gold and Sail to Sable women's wear along with Castaway Clothing men's wear will be featured. Everything will be following a very beach like summer theme. They intend to keep the store open through labor day, but, they will have to see how business goes. Hamptons vacationers will be happy to add to their list of shopping destinations, though.
