Donna Karan is focusing holiday shopping on something other than gift-giving. The fashion designer's New York City marketplace Urban Zen has opened its annual Holiday Marketplace, this year using the platform to raise awareness and funds to help provide Haiti the support it still needs following the devastating earthquake that hit the country ten years ago.

Urban Zen will host special evenings throughout the holiday season dedicated to charities that it has supported over the years. Ten percent of the purchases made during these evenings will be donated to various organizations in Haiti as well as the David Lynch Foundation, Everytown, God’s Love We Deliver, and Solving Kids’ Cancer.

Karan has curated the marketplace to highlight over 35 international artisans from Colombia, India, Thailand, Madagascar and South Africa, with the intention of bringing unique culture to life in one space.

Shoppers can find home decor, apparel, books, accessories, jewelry and vintage pieces from these artisans to simultaneously shop for holiday gifts and give back to a good cause.
