What happens when you take the likes of Carmen Marc Valvo, stylist Robert Verdi, a few bottles of champagne, an apple photo booth, and a few devilishly handsome male models serving your hors d’oeuvres and throw them together in a room? A night of celebration as Dressbarn came together with the help of Linda Gaunt Communications to put together a one of a kind event to celebrate the opening of their new concept store, Dressbar at Dressbarn. Located on Fifth Avenue in lower Manhattan, just a few blocks away from popular New York City landmark Union Square the shop is sure to prove to be a go-to shopping destination. The area is known to be home to several other high profile retail locations, including Paul Smith, Brooks Brothers, and the flagship stores for Club Monaco and J. Crew. The new concept store will be located at 102 Fifth Avenue, a space that had briefly been a restaurant, and also had a retail space for rent sign in the window for what seemed like forever.

While the store is just a pop-up shop while Dressbarn tests the waters for success in the Manhattan market and the area. Dressbar is a one-of-a-kind digital and in-store experience that involves collaborations from some major names in fashion. Some of the collections include Luxe by Carmen Marc Valvo, MiXT by Heidi Weisel, Lovely by Adrian Papell, and dbRSVP by the db Fashion Studio by Dressbarn’s design director Etta Granata. For those not lucky enough to be located in the fashion capital of America fear not, because these collections will also be available online at Dressbar.com and in other Dressbarn stores nationwide.

The best thing about this collection would have to be the price point. Not a single dress in this entire collection exceeds 70 dollars. For those Carmen Marc Valvo fans who have dreamed of getting their hands on one of his dresses while still being able to afford your rent for the month now is your chance. Dressbar’s fabulous collection doesn’t just stop with their stunningly curated selection of dresses, however. They have also collaborated with Celeste and Satu Greenberg of Tuleste to offer a jewelry collection called True with prices ranging from 10 dollars to 29 dollars and 50 cents.

For those e-commerce fans Dressbar.com will offer one of the most user friendly online shopping services ever. The search engine will help users find the dresses they need by occasion or mood whether it be date night or Sunday afternoon brunch. The site will also utilize interactive features to help provide advice from experts and editorial content. Dressbar’s commitment to excellent customer service won’t stop them either. They are working with Robin Kramer of Kramer Design Group to create Dressbar shop-in-shops that will include integrated iPads to enhance the customer experience. In fall 2015, Kramer Design Group is also expected to unveil further store prototypes.

Their current pop-up shop might be a small space square footage wise, but, they have certainly made the most out of it. The retail location is decked out with everything from a cash wrap styled as a bar to dozens of floral fixtures hanging like chandeliers from the ceiling. It’s quite the concept store, and will hopefully bring Dressbar and Dressbarn some major success. While it is only a pop-up store, and is expected to be short lived, hopefully with enough shopper traffic they can eventually make this a more permanent location, because it certainly is fabulous.
