Dsquared2 celebrates 20th anniversary in Los Angeles

Dsquared2, international fashion house, celebrated their 20th anniversary this year by revisiting their first U.S. flagship over the weekend. Their Beverly Hills address on Rodeo Drive landmarks the label’s first American venture.
Dean and Dan Caten, the dynamic duo that started Dsquared2, is known for their fine apparel line that has spread internationally throughout the years. The brand, which has been established for 20 years, has worked to really expand the label towards the United States this year. “This year has been our big American push,” Dean told WWD. In an effort to celebrate, the two came together with a cocktail party and dinner at Cecconi’s. Guest included Estelle, The Atomics, and Los Angeles fashion bloggers Chiara Ferragni and Aimee Song.
Their Rodeo Drive flagship was the first American flagship to open. Since then, the brand has opened stores in New York and Miami. The Beverly Hills store has been very successful for the label. “We have great numbers and an excellent staff and we’re all happy with it,” Dan told WWD. The two chose Los Angeles for their first American store due to their customer base. According to Pret-A-Reporter, twenty percent of their customers from their online store were from Los Angeles. The two then decided to create an easier gateway for their customers to access their products.
Since their “American push,” Dsquared2 has also opened their largest storefront based in London. The two worked on establishing a solid foundation in Europe for years before moving towards the United States market. Their next venture, according to WWD, is to open a store in Rome.
