Los Angeles-based retailer Forever 21 is planning to open another international store this year. The fast-fashion retailer has its sights set on opening a location in Romania’s capital Bucharest.

This will be the company’s first venture into the Romanian market. The location is set to open in Parklake, which is a new shopping development set to open soon. The store will encompass 17,200 square feet in the capital city. Forever 21 previously partnered with Teren Management Europe through a licensing deal. This contract made Teren Management Europe Forever 21’s franchisee for nine different countries including Romania. Other countries include Hungary, Slovakia, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Poland, and more.

The franchisee plans to roll out an expansion plan and open new stores internationally for the brand. “[The Romanian market’s] potential and its development and modernization level in recent years are impressive and promising,” Alexandros Doukas, chief executive officer of Teren Management Europe, said in a statement.

Forever 21 currently operates approximately 730 stores internationally. Based in Los Angeles, the company’s website states that Forever 21’s goal is to become a 8 billion dollar company by 20217. The website also states that the fast fashion retailer is planning to open 600 stores within the next three years.

By the end of the year, the company plans to open stores in five countries: Czech Republic, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Slovakia; as reported by Romania Insider.
