Grailed sister site Heroine to wind down

Streetwear resale site Grailed’s sister site Heroine is winding down operations. The company, which launched in 2017, posted a note on its website saying that after four years their consumer needs have shifted and the majority of Heroine’s women’s consumer based can be found on Grailed (68 percent according to the company.)

Grailed plans on operating under one single platform and investing in its customer service capabilities and offerings. Heroine will be available until November 9. After that, buyers can no longer be able to make new purchases or offers. Heroine officially closes on November 9.

On November 9, the Heroine iOS app will no longer be available for us. Sellers will still be able to complete any open sales and message buyers.

On December 9, the iOS app will no longer be available. Heroine also had major competitors in the resale space including The Real Real, Vestiaire Collective, and Fashionphile. Grailed, on the other hand, has received major investment and continues to see growth. Around a month ago, GOAT and Gucci both invested in the resale platform.
