So far Cos has gained a reputable standing as an extension of affordable, fashion brand H&M. The Swedish-based company launched Cos, which stands for Collection of Style, as an up-market brand of contemporary, chic style.

Cos plans to open new stores in NY and LA

According to recent announcements, the brand is ready to expand in the U.S. The company recently released a statement that announces the brand will continue to expand this year and open four stores for the autumn and winter of this year. “We are very pleased with the brand’s growth since our launch in the U.S. in 2014…” said Marie Honda, managing director of Cos. “[We] look forward to introducing Cos to new neighbourhoods and cities this autumn [and] winter.” The brand entered the apparel market last year with an e-commerce launch as well as stores in Los Angeles and New York. So far, the plan includes opening more stores in America’s fashion capitals. There will be a New York 5th Avenue location that will be 3,982 square feet and offer menswear and womenswear. Also, there will be a location opening in Costa Mesa that will encompass 4,165 square feet.

In addition to these confirmed stores, Cos will open two stores in new cities this year. The new cities include Boston and Houston. The first store will be on Newbury Street with both men's’ and women’s apparel. In Houston, the brand’s first Texas store will be in the River Oaks District and will be 4,380 square feet.
