Swedish fast-fashion retailer H&M is planning to open a new flagship in New York. Landing at the Hudson Yards, the trendy fashion company is planning to open a boutique on Manhattan’s West Side.

The Hudson Yards has been known favorably among locals as a retail and dining destination. The plaza currently includes more than 100 shops including New York’s first Neiman Marcus. Joining the roster of retailers on the plaza, H&M plans to open a new store for 2018. The flagship will encompass 34,000 square feet and will span across two levels. Although the opening date isn’t set for two more years, H&M is planning ahead.

“It’s going to take two years to open the flagship,” Daniel Kulle, president of North America, told WWD. At the moment, he told the publication that H&M is working currently at the design of the project. Soon after, the company will work on building out the flagship and putting that process into motion. Because of its square footage, it’s likely that the store will include various grand features to fill its interior alongside its retail offerings.
