Los Angeles - It looks like H&M is planning to expand its retail in SoCal. The fashion retailer will be opening a new store next month in Montebello.

Located at The Shops of Montebello, the space will encompass 21,000 square feet as reported by Apparel News. The shopping plaza currently is home to retailers such as Lane Bryant, JCPenney, Hollister, Macy’s, New York & Company, and more. Like most of H&M’s locations, this store will sell womenswear, menswear, accessories, and children’s clothing. According to the publication, the store will open September 15 with about 30 new employees.

It’s no surprise that H&M has planned to open another shop in the U.S., as the trendy retailer unveiled plans to open 400 new stores last year internationally. The Swedish retail chain started this retail plan with an emphasis on opening stores in the U.S. as well as China. As reported by FashionUnited, H&M’s global store count is approximately 3,676. Earlier this year, H&M also hit its 400th store mark by opening a location in the Mall of India in New Delhi. While the Montebello shop won’t be a milestone for the brand, it does expand H&M’s presence on the West Coast.
