Happy Socks launches third Los Angeles store at Century City

Swedish lifestyle brand Happy Socks is expanding its presence even further in Los Angeles, with a new store joining the ranks of Westfield Century City. Opening on August 1, the 484-square-foot space—like company’s other locations—features Happy Socks’ bright, colorful and playful spirit.

“Century City is [a] great test of our concept of opening in a mall versus our usual high street locations,” said Aleksander Milenkovic, the global head of retailer at Happy Socks, to FashionUnited. “This location has a great mix of fashion conscious local shoppers and foreign visitors, and if it is successful, it means that we could roll out stores on a larger scale across the West Coast targeting similar malls. We belive that Century City is the best place to start this venture.”

In an email to FashionUnited from the brand, this opening is part of the company’s latest strategy to significantly grow its presence in North America—specifically its retail presence in the United States—by opening more stores in Los Angeles. Earlier this year in May, the company opened its second store and Creative Hub in Silverlake.

"The U.S. and North America are our targets for our next big store roll out, starting with two clusters — New York and California (Los Angeles and San Francisco),” Milenkovic shared. “Our stores are both profit drivers and great tools for the brand to show presence in the U.S. market, and for the millions of global visitors to these cities. We want to put beautiful stores in the best locations to signal to the market that we are here and that we mean business!”

Happy Socks’ third store is located at Westfield Century City at 29 N. La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90046.
