Hawaiian swimwear brand Acacia opens first retail location on Maui

Swimwear label Acacia—which has been digitally native since 2008 until now—has opened up its first brick-and-mortar location in Paia, Maui in Hawaii. According to an announcement from the brand, the location for the brand’s store is not only owner and designer Naomi Newirth’s hometown, but also where Acacia initially launched.

The intimate shop, which showcases a modern and minimal interior that will allow customers to shop Acacia’s entire collection in one location and experience the spirit of the brand firsthand.

In an email from Newirth to FashionUnited, opening up a physical retail location has been a goal for some time. However, she waited for the right space as well as the right time to create the space that embodies the brand.

“We wanted it to reflect who we were and our lifestyle. [Our store] is located on the North Shore in our little beach town, Paia,” Newirth shared with FashionUnited. “The space is a charming old plantation cottage, with a simple modern minimal, sophisticated, yet laid back design.”
