Retail

If there is a market for cashmere puffer jackets, Herno has it covered. This summer, the brand did a soft launch of a SoHo boutique. Last week the company held their grand opening for the store.

The event was hosted by Claudio Marenzi, son of Herno founder Giuseppe Marenzi. Herno was originally founded out of demand for "impermeabili" or raincoats. Herno has been Made-in-Italy for nearly 70 years, with their very first raincoat dating back to the 1940’s.

Claudio has set a course of international growth for the family company through ongoing investments in research, technology and design innovation, always combined with the right dose of sartorial tradition. Italian style and sustainability concepts are highlights of the process of constant renewal that has led Herno to become a pioneer in the introduction of ever more efficient and advanced fabrics, from double cashmere to thermo-taping. Herno is currently sold in over 54 countries.

Claudio has made it his goal to put the brand into more of an international focus, with New York City being a part of the brand's global retail expansion.
