Hickey Freeman is joining the ranks of other luxury brands including Gucci, Burberry, and Bottega Veneta with their new store at Brookfield Place.

The new store includes offerings such as suits, sport coats, overcoats, trousers, sportswear and dress furnishings. In addition to the aforementioned offerings, customers also have the option of made-to-measure offerings with an in-store service. To select their made-to-measure suit, customers will be guided by sales personnel through a library of unique styles, fabrics, details, and trims so they can customize their looks to their needs, desires, and personal tastes.

For the first time in the company's decades old history, they will also be offering made-to-measure dress shirts and custom shirting in addition to suits, sport coats, trousers, and overcoats. For those customers who might not have as much time to make it to a store, Hickey Freeman's concierge services will offer private offsite appointments with one of their styling and fit specialists.

“Hickey Freeman has been dressing authoritative and influential men for over a century, so it is only fitting that we open our doors in New York’s booming financial center,” said Arnold Brant Silverstone, president and chief creative officer of Hickey Freeman. “We are thrilled to be able to offer the fast paced downtown crowd and local clientele a unique shopping experience th rough our new store concept.”

The design inspiration for the store comes from a concept developed by Two One Two Designs, who created an aesthetic based on an American expression of luxury, highlighting the brand's new point of view that made-to-measure tailored clothing should be a part of every man's wardrobe. Features of the store include a Floating Fabric Wall with 180 suit, jacket, and dress shirt choices, a cutting table, made-to-measure fitting areas, a VIP fitting and tailored area, a tie wall, and a video wall.

This new store is meant to cater to a wide range of customers from the C-level executive looking for distinct fashion offerings who might need a private offsite appointment, to the younger more aspirational customer seeking to introduce modern fits and custom shirting into their wardrobe.

The brand's recent presentation at New York Fashion Week: Men's showed that they are headed for a diverse direction going forward offering everything from the well tailored suits fit for executives to the more casual Greenwich Village inspired offerings for the younger, more laid back customer. While the brand is currently under represented in the state, this store is the beginning to them changing that.

They are hoping to open more stores in New York City before they start to focus on secondary markets. Hickey Freeman's annual sales hover around 50 million dollars, and they've seen double-digit growth in how they perform in specialty stores, putting good things on the horizon for the brand.
