Rock ‘n’ roll meets laid-back California culture in its newest store opening. John Varvatos, known for its effortlessly cool silhouettes, recently opened its newest SoCal location in San Diego.

The edgy fashion line opened at its new 3,500 square foot store in Fashion Valley Mall. Located in the heart of the laid-back city of San Diego, the vibe of the boutique accurately mixes grunge with a lax attitude. “With its cool and laid-back attitude, San Diego is the perfect location for a John Varvatos store,” John Varvatos told WWD. The new store has a rebellious interior theme with a “rock ‘n’ roll” ambience. The interior has photographs and posters along its walls that are mostly of classic rock legends. The likes of these portraits include on-stage shots of Led Zeppelin, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bruce Springsteen and more. The interior is decorated with a rustic-modern infusion with zinc metal and a white brick finish. John Varvatos is known for his sleek take on men’s fashion in his designs. Varvatos offers polos, leather jackets, swimwear, slacks, button-down shirts, and more. Prices for the upscale menswear line range from 68 to 3,998 dollars.

The brand was established in 2000 in New York. The collection first started out as a collection of tailored clothing and sportswear. Now, John Varvatos offers a lifestyle brand including apparel, footwear, accessories, eyewear, and more. The collection is currently distributed across freestanding John Varvatos stores, with the San Diego location being its 23rd. In addition to its specialty stores, the brand is distributed at various luxury retail stores and boutiques globally. The current company size ranges from 201-500 employees.
