Joy Bryant's Basic Terrain offers pop-up at Satine

The travel-inspired brand Basic Terrain comes to Beverly Grove this weekend. Beginning July 15 the effortlessly casual label will offer a temporary pop-up shop.

The interim boutique will be located at Satine on Third Street. The in-store pop-up will offer new styles as well as a selection of curated brands that are chosen from the designer. Joy Bryant, actress and former model, teamed up with her husband Dave Pope for a clothing line. Bryant, who had appeared in campaigns for Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger in the past, and Pope came together to create a new genre apparel. Designing exclusively for those who desire travel, wanderlust, and laid-back living; Basic Terrain was born. The collection, which will be open for a whole month at Satine, will offer bottoms, tops, jumpsuits, and dresses. Pieces range from denim military jackets, vintage vests, knit hoodies, bohemian kimonos and more. In price, the pieces range from 105 to 590 dollars.

The brand launched about a year ago in June. The new pop-up will host a happy hour event on Thursday, July 16, this week at 5 p.m. as a kick-off for the month. Featured artists and designers for the event include Lulu Frost, Heyoka Leather, Surf Bazaar, Jade Berreau and more. The official pop-up will close on August 15.
