The long-awaited arrival of Kimora Lee Simmons is now over. Simmons, founder of KLS clothing line, opened the first boutique for the clothing brand recently in Beverly Hills.

The announcement of the brand’s expansion in Los Angeles was in May. Jacqui Wenzel, president of KLS and in charge of wholesale, worked with Simmons to ensure that the opening was true to the brand. According to WWD, the original opening date for the store was supposed to be in the last month. The store actually opened within the last couple of days.

The first flagship offers the luxury ready-to-wear brand including contemporary day dresses and club-attire nightwear as well. Including accessories and more apparel that emphasizes the “woman in motion,” the brand offers trousers, separates, handbags, and leather goods. Prices for the womenswear line range from 600 to 3,500 dollars. The Los Angeles boutique neighbors Alice + Olivia and Theory on North Beverly Drive.

The brand was first launched in 2007 by Simmons. Previously employed at JustFab as a creative director, Simmons branched out for her very own ready-to-wear line. Fabrics used in manufacturing these high-end pieces include cashmere, leather, mesh, and more. “I decided to create these pieces for myself, and for other women who sought to look polished and pulled-together not just for an ‘event’ but for an entire, wonderful, unpredictable day--and night,” said KLS of her collection.
