Lady Pipa prepares pop-ups in 3 major European capitals

Madrid-based occasionwear brand Lady Pipa will open three pop-ups in London, Amsterdam and Paris between March and May 2027, with one opening in each city. The initiative is part of the company’s international expansion strategy. Its online sales outside Spain already account for 60 percent of the total, compared to 15 percent recorded in 2020. The US, Mexico, France and the UK are among its main markets.

The announcement was made by its chief executive officer, Rocío Gómez Buhigas, during eShow, the e-commerce and technology trade show held at Ifema in Madrid on November 4 and 5. During her speech, she also highlighted the role of retail in the brand's growth and its contribution to offsetting the impact of investment in digital advertising. The company has a team of “seven or eight” people dedicated to marketing and daily content creation, one of its main growth drivers. On social media, the brand has 1.2 million followers on Instagram and 250,000 on TikTok.

Founded in 2018 by Sara González, Lady Pipa designs and manufactures fashion in Spain for weddings, events and special occasions, aimed at women aged between 15 and 45. Clothing accounts for 94 percent of its sales, while accessories and footwear contribute 3 percent each.

From 200,000 euros to 17.5 million in 7 years

In her presentation, Gómez Buhigas reviewed the evolution of the company's turnover since its foundation. Lady Pipa recorded 200,000 euros in its first two financial years, 2018 and 2019, and maintained that figure in 2020, a year marked by the pandemic. In 2021, coinciding with the opening of its first store in Madrid, it reached 2.1 million euros.

Growth accelerated in 2022, when brand recognition and the recovery of events boosted sales to 7.3 million euros. In 2023, it opened its second store, in Barcelona, and generated 7.9 million euros in revenue. A year later, it signed an agreement with El Corte Inglés to introduce its products through concessions in its department stores, closing the financial year with sales of 8.7 million euros.

In 2025, the company underwent a rebranding and brought in the Goros Investments fund through a buyout deal. That year, turnover rose to 11.3 million euros. For 2026, the company expects to reach 17.5 million euros (19.6 million dollars) in a financial year marked by changes in its management structure. Gómez Buhigas assumed the role of chief executive officer, while the founder, González, remains head of creative direction.

The company seeks to consolidate its growth by developing its retail and wholesale channels, alongside greater professionalisation of its organisation.

In the wholesale channel, Lady Pipa is already present at El Palacio de Hierro in Mexico; Nuuly in the US; and Rinascente in Italy. The new temporary pop-ups in London, Amsterdam and Paris will be added to this distribution network.
