French fashion house Lanvin may be closing its beloved Chicago flagship. The store, which has been open since 2013, will be replaced by boutique store St. John.

The boutique currently resides in the Gold Coast neighborhood. According to a WWD source familiar with real estate in the area, the store is going to be replaced by St. John. Lanvin and St. John also confirmed that the stores would be closing, according to the publication. St. John will replace the old space after various renovations. The three-year old store created a name for itself in Chicago by offering its couture fashion, fragrances, and accessories. In the announcement of its closure, the company has not currently stated any possible relocations.

The couture house has been established since 1889. Created by Jeanne Lanvin, the luxury company spans over a century of fashion. Currently, the privately held company is based in France with 201-500 employees.
