Los Angeles - After just recently opening a secret pop-up in downtown Los Angeles, Louis Vuitton has had to close shop. The collaboration pop-up with street style brand Supreme recently was broken up by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on July 7.

Since the store opened, the shop continued to bring in crowds and long lines of customers. FashionUnited reported previously on when the pop-up first opened, showing a line that went down the entire street. Due to the secrecy of the brand and the undercover nature of the pop-up, cops did not allow anyone to come close to the store or to take any photos. Passerbys were advised to cross the street when passing the pop-up as to not get too close.

According to Apparel News, the store just shuttered after LAPD had to break up a large crowd in front of the store this past Friday. The line started at 4:30 a.m., where the large crowd lined up for the newest release. There were no arrests from the crowd, as reported by the publication. The signage that showed off the Louis Vuitton logo was taken down that day. “It was a matter of too many people being there,” LAPD spokesman Tony Im told Apparel News.

The Louis Vuitton website also states that currently four of the eight pop-ups are closed, according to the LA Times. Currently, the stores in Miami, Beijing, and Seoul remain open. For the Los Angeles shop, it is unclear whether or not the boutique closed due to the large crowds earlier in the day, or as a planned set closure. Previously, Louis Vuitton never stated a closure date for the pop-up. As the store has closed Friday, it has not yet been disclosed if the pop-up will resurface in Los Angeles in the future.
