In the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles, Louis Vuitton has opened another pop-up shop. The temporary boutique is expected to carry the long anticipated Louis Vuitton x Supreme collaboration.

Last week, the brand revealed various locations of its pop-ups on Instagram, with a direct communication to its customers. “There will be no marketing and no press release," chairman and chief executive officer of Louis Vuitton Michael Burke told WWD. "It’s all about peer-to-peer communication. We provide a very minimum amount of information and let the people judge us from there.

The pop-up for Los Angeles was located near the Arts Districts popular shopping and dining destinations including Pie Hole, Poketo, Wurstkuche, Shinola and more. The pop-up had security guarding the store, along with tinted windows that did not allow outside viewers to see the merchandise. Additionally, no pictures were allowed inside of the pop-up as well, as customers lined up down the street for the shop.

The collection consists of various apparel with a minimal aesthetic along with Supreme's cool, edgy fashion. Prices for apparel can range up to approximately 4,215 dollars for a monogram leather jacket, with pieces averaging over a couple hundred dollars. The New York brand announced earlier this year its collaboration with Louis Vuitton in order to help elevate the brand. Although the company originally received backlash for partnering with the luxury brand, overall the higher price range seems to be a smart, strategic move for Supreme. Furthermore, the pop-ups help to contribute to this collection, despite its original backlash.

In addition to the L.A. shop, pop-ups have been revealed to open in major cities across the world. As reported by WWD, the collection will be sold at these pop-ups in cities such as London, Paris, Miami, Tokyo, Beijing, Seoul, Sydney, and more. So far, Louis Vuitton has not commented on current sales for the pop-ups. With all of the secrecy, it's likely that the collaboration is playing into the underground appeal of street apparel to create hype and anticipation for customers.
