Nordstrom just partnered with denim and apparel brand Madewell. The specialty department store just announced its plan to expand in retail with the essentials brand this fall.

Nordstrom is adding the brand 20 of its stores this year, expanding Madewell’s reach in retail. This will be the third distribution expansion since their first launch together in March 2015. After the distribution takes place, Madewell be in a total of 76 locations in the U.S. and Canada. Also, the New York-based brand will be available on Nordstrom’s ecommerce website. So far, Nordstrom is the only carrier of Madewell’s merchandise aside from its standalone stores. Currently, Madewell is available at Nordstrom in these locations: Anchorage, Alaska; Bloomington, Minn.; Chandler, Ariz.; Cherry Hill, N.J.; Garden State Plaza, N.J.; Brea, Calif;, San Mateo, Calif.; Cerritos, Calif.; Mission Viejo, Calif; San Diego, Calif. Additionally, Madewell is available at Nordstrom locations in Texas, Kansas, Washington, Michigan, and Maryland.

Madewell opened its first brick and mortar store in 2006. The brand’s designs are inspired by today’s modern fashion centered around denim fashion. Denim is the brand’s core focus, including great jeans as well as anything that pairs well with denim. Madewell retails ankle boots, leather jackets, handbags, jewelry, tees, and more. Their aesthetic is effortless cool, tomboy and artful.
