Retail

Spanish clothes manufacturing company Massimo Dutti has expanded to the West Coast. As its first location in Costa Mesa, the company has ignited their commercial activity in the U.S.

The one-level store spans over 8,891 feet offering menswear, womenswear and accessories. The store’s aesthetic is based on the brand’s core style as well as a progressive evolution of boutiques. The store includes finishes and shapes that are aligned with contemporary, urban design. The overall vibe of the store is a mix of modern architecture with classic detailing, which reflects the chic sophistication of the Massimo Dutti brand. Fixtures include materials such as brass, leather, walnut wood, and dark marble. The eclectic mix of these materials further accentuate the urban detailings of the store's decor. The store opens officially on Friday, November 20, at the high-end retail center South Coast Plaza.

In opening at the luxury retail center, Massimo Dutti will join its sister concept store, Zara. The Spanish fashion chain is also owned by the Inditex Group and has been at South Coast Plaza for years. However, the Inditex Group isn't the company bringing new retailers to the shopping center. H&M’s sister brand Cos just recently opened its newest location at the shopping mall as well. The store took up 5,700 square feet of space and opened mid-October of this year.

Massimo Dutti’s first store will include its new and past collections such as their autumn/winter collections. The company’s available collections include New York City AW2015, Apres Ski Limited Edition, and Marino Testino’s AW2015 Campaign. Each of these includes fall pieces with unique fabrics, colors, and textures. With a strong New York-influence, these pieces encompass winter style with high-quality, stylish pieces. The Spanish brand’s pieces range in price up to 195 euro, which converts to approximately 208.90 dollars.

The Inditex-owned company also offers clothing available through its e-commerce site to all 50 states. Founded in 1985, the clothing manufacturer was initially launched as a menswear line. After launching women’s clothing nearly 10 years later, Massimo Dutti expanded into its own sophisticated breed of clothing. Today, the brand’s presence expands to 68 countries include Europe, America, and Asia. In addition to the West Coast flagship, Massimo Dutti has over 700 operating stores.
