Los Angeles – American Apparel recently just received approval for its disclosure statement, including four Oak locations to close alongside the brand’s boutiques.

It was reported earlier this month that American Apparel would have to close 13 of its locations by the end of January 2016. The brand has already undergone filing for bankruptcy among declining sales for the company. The company’s share price has also dropped significantly recently.

In addition to all this downturn, the company’s disclosure statement solidifies that the company will move forward with the closure of its stores alongside four of its Oak stores. The American Apparel stores set to close include locations in California, New York, Texas, Florida, Maryland and other U.S. states. The Oak stores that are set to close are located in Los Angeles as well as New York. The label’s founders, as reported by WWD, had contested the plan for Oak earlier this month however the court ruling signifies that the brand will still close it locations.
