Oliver Peoples, a Los Angeles-based eyewear company, partnered with Byredo, Stockholm fragrance house, to collaborate on an eyewear and scent that emphasizes L.A. culture. The collection is set to launch this Sunday, April 19th, at retail stores of both brands. The joint collection won’t hit other retailers until next month.

Chief executive officer or Oliver Peoples, David Schulte, worked with Ben Gorham, Byredo’s founder, to create this sensory collection. The duo were inspired by the concept of “synesthesia,” the combined perception of senses. With glasses to perceive the sights of L.A., and complementing fragrances, both products together give its consumer a unique visual, tangible experience of the urban city.

Eyewear and fragrance collaboration inspired by L.A. hits retailers next month

The eyewear is priced at 450 dollars for a pair of sunglasses. The unisex glasses are available in Semi Matte Black and Beige Crystal in colors champagne, green, and indigo. Inspired by the aesthetics of Los Angeles neighborhoods, the eyewear encompasses a unique lax style. A box set with both glasses is priced at 530 dollars.

Jerome Epinette, perfumer, developed the fragrance of the collaboration after visiting various areas in L.A. The scent is comprised of lemon, juniper berries, warm sand accord, musks, and orris. This jointed byproduct of Byredo and Oliver Peoples will be 175 dollars for a 50 ml quantity. The fragrance is available in two different bottle colors in order to complement its matching frames.

The collection will be fully available at select retailers in May.
