New York-based swimwear brand Onia is collaborating with high end contemporary label Theory for a capsule collection of swim trunks for men.

The limited edition swim trunks, which will be available beginning this month at Theory stores across the globe, include a technologically integrated version of Onia's Charles style. The brand's website describes their Charle's style as their "take on a traditional swim trunk. A tailored cut is combined with an elasticized waistband, creating a refined fit without sacrificing comfort or mobility." The more high-tech version done for the collaboration features a fast-drying, bonded fabric with four-way stretch and a water-resistant finish. The trunks will be available in six colors with price points between 175 dollars and 195 dollars.

“We’ve been selling in Theory stores for the past three years and the collection does well,” said Carl Cunow, Onia’s cofounder, to WWD. “With this collaboration we are building a bigger partnership.”

Onia is currently focusing on growth. The brand, which also produces private label swimwear for department stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and retailers like Brooklyn Industries, saw an impressive 40 percent growth from 2014 to 2015.

Onia launched in 2009, and since then, they have created three other brands that sit under The Onia Group including Trunks Surf and Swim for men, Sole East for women, and Teal Cove. Recently, the company launched loungewear for men. They introduced women's swimwear in 2014.
