Los Angeles – Up until this point, contemporary label & Other Stories has yet to add a permanent California store. However, the H&M’s elevated spinoff brand confirmed this month that it would add a West Coast bricks-and-mortar by the end of next year.

The SoCal boutique will open at the high-end retail haven South Coast Plaza. The date is not yet confirmed, but according to Racked LA, the store is scheduled to open in Fall 2016. The luxury plaza told the Los Angeles-based website that “& Other Stories is indeed landing on its Costa Mesa turf,” although there is no exact location mentioned. South Coast Plaza is home to a number of high price-point retailers including over 250 boutiques. Stores include Chanel, Uniqlo, Express, Banana Republic, and more.

Assuming that it will hold true to its New York counterpart, & Other Stories will most likely offer its ready-to-wear apparel, handbags, shoes, accessories, and jewelry at its impending Orange County location. The brand is known for its sharp, simplistic take on fashion including cozy basics and timeless pieces. Prices range on the higher end than its parent company H&M, typically from 39 to 395 dollars for ready-to-wear.

& Other Stories has recently been making more moves towards their retail footprint. The ready-to-wear brand released plans for expansion earlier this year. & Other Stories unveiled to WWD that it would add a new location in New York earlier this year to help propel the brand’s growth. The New York location boasted 9,700 square feet and was off of Fifth Avenue. The company confirmed to the publication that in Spring 2016, it would add its third and fourth U.S. stores. Respectively, the locations will feature one at Washington, D.C. and the other at the World Trade Center.

The contemporary label also recently paired with Los Angeles label Rodarte. The new collection, set for a Spring 2016 release, will be a mix of both strong, fashionable brands into an L.A.-influenced collection. Both Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the diligent pair behind Rodarte, worked closely with & Other Stories to bring in the new collaborative line at a high price point. The capsule collection will range from 29 to 325 dollars and will be available at & Other Stories retail stores and its online website.

& Other Stories is a fashion brand that offers the modern woman shoes, bags, accessories, and ready-to-wear apparel. The brand is known for its more daring, fashion-forward trends than its sister company H&M. Founded only two years ago, the brand already has over 20 locations including cities in the U.S. and Europe. The company size ranges from 201-500 employees currently. Also, & Other Stories has gained a reputation for its higher pricing and more “elevated” take on fashion than H&M. The label opened its first retail store in 2013 starting in London and branching out to other areas. Currently, & Other Stories has U.S. locations in New York.
