New retail destination Pacific City will officially open this year in November. The location for the new shopping plaza is set in Huntington Beach.

The shopping haven is underway by development company DJM Capital Partners. The 191,000 square-foot project will sit right next to the Huntington Beach Pier. Originally, the project was set for late summer this year but it is now confirmed that it will not open until the fall. The beach-side haven will occupy 11 acres of space. Pacific City will house approximately over 50 clothing shops and 20 restaurants. Just a couple blocks away from Main Street, the oceanfront will also have debut a marketplace and hotel. So far, confirmed tenants include H&M, Tankfarm, Irene’s Story, and Sephora. An Equinox gym will also take up 30,000 square feet at the plaza. Alongside boutiques and eateries, there will be interior shops such as Heirlooms & Hardware and Ocean Blue Art and Design.

The public marketplace is a project led by DJM Capital Partners. Headquartered in Santa Barbara, the developer worked last year to negotiate with a number of retailers into the project. The forward-looking development project represents an asset value of 1 billion dollars. The private equity investment and development company represents a portfolio of assets over 2 million square feet. The exact date for the Pacific City opening is not yet confirmed, although according to LA Racked it will in November.
