Puma to open flagship store at Fifth Avenue in New York

Puma is set to open a global flagship store at the heart of one of New York’s busiest shopping areas. The new shop, which will occupy three floors spanning over 24000 square feet (2229 square meters), is located at 609 Fifth Avenue, across the street from luxury department store Saks Fifth Avenue.

“We are incredibly proud to open the first Puma brand store for North America at this iconic location on one of the most prestigious streets in the world”, said Puma’s CEO, Bjørn Gulden, in a statement. The store’s opening date was not disclosed.

Gulden added that the opening of a flagship store in New York reflects Puma’s plans to become “the fastest sports brand in the world”, following their exit from Kering’s portfolio, finalized this week.

Two of Puma’s main competitors, Asics and Adidas, also have large flagship stores at Fifth Avenue. Nike’s store, located on 57th Street, is not far away either.
