Rebag, the resale platform for luxury bags, is expanding its retail footprint with a seventh brick and mortar store in Miami. Located in the city’s Design District, the new flagship is the first in a series of stores to come in the Southern US. In the “medium term”, Rebag plans to open a total of 30 physical stores across the United States, as well as expanding its presence in luxury shopping malls. CEO Charles Gorra recently spoke with FashionUnited about the company’s retail expansion strategy.

Commenting on the decision to enter Miami at this moment, Gorra said in a press statement: “Miami has a global reach with customers visiting from all over the world. The new location, with its unique clientele, will allow us to reach even more customers looking to both buy and sell luxury designer handbags”.

The opening of Rebag’s seventh store comes shortly after the announcement of a 25 million dollar funding, totalling 52 million US dollars raised in three funding rounds. Additionally, the company has recently hired Geronimo Chala, former Managing Director of Carolina Herrera, for the role of VP of retail.
