Rick Owens, known for his high-end contemporary womenswear and menswear clothing, recently revealed a new store opening in Los Angeles.

The new location will be in Hollywood on La Brea Ave. The store will encompass 5,300 square feet. The inside of the store will feature a white-interior and exterior that reflects an urban, modern vibe. The new location will offer the brand’s iconic staples that revolve around a grunge, glamour theme. His ready-to-wear apparel consists of monochromatic colors, edgy patterned designs, and luxury materials. Prices for his apparel range from approximately 260 to 5,600 dollars. The Parisian-influenced designer told LA Racked that he would open a boutique in Los Angeles. The exact opening date is not yet confirmed, but the publication reports that it is set to open within the next two weeks.

Known also as Richard Saturnino Owens, the designer made a name for himself through his ready-to-wear lines. He gained an education at Los Angeles’ Trade Technical College in pattern cutting. He started his label originally in 1994 and sold exclusively to Los Angeles retailer Charles Gallay. In 2001, Owens expanded internationally with his label. After gaining more reputable success, Owen decided to leave Los Angeles in 2003 and pursue his designing career in Paris. His brand currently retails on Net-A-Porter online.
