Urban athletic apparel company Ryu Apparel Inc. has made its products available through Zappos.com, the company best known for selling shoes. Based out of Las Vegas, Nevada, Zappos was looking to expand its offering in the performance apparel sector, so adding Ryu as a brand partner made perfect sense for both companies.

Zappos is known for an unparalleled level of customer service, with representatives being available 24/7. The company is also known for their expedited delivery capabilities, which will benefit Ryu customers shopping through Zappos. Zappos is the only authorized on-line retailer, other than Ryu.com, to offer Ryu's apparel.

"Zappos is a giant in the industry. Being asked to offer our products on such a successful website and to help grow our on-line business is an honor for us," said Marcello Leone, CEO of Ryu, in a statement. "It took us just a few minutes in conversation with Zappos to agree on this relationship. We are incredibly excited about the awareness and visibility this will create for Ryu."

Ryu committed to making significant investments in e-commerce this year according to their June 2019 financial report. In addition, on February 12 of this year, the company closed a non-brokered private placement financing of 2,863,257 million dollars consisting of the issuance of 38,176,764 units of the company at a price of 0.075 cents per unit. Each unit consisted of one common share of the company and one share purchase warrant. Each warrant was exercisable into one common share at a price of 0.15 cents for a period of three years. In connection with the private placement the company paid a cash finder’s fee of 33,101 dollars.
