Iconic Manhattan department store Saks Fifth Avenue has made major changes to its sixth floor. As part of its ongoing Grand Renovation of its Fifth Avenue flagship, Saks has renovated its men's footwear department.

The newly redone space takes up 8,000 square feet, bringing all of Saks' men's footwear offering to one central location, rather than across multiple floors as the department was previously. The department features products from over 60 luxury brands, 15 of which are new additions to Saks' roster.

The department now features shoe repair stations and merchandise personalization services. The retailer as also hired 30 multilingual sales advisors.

"Luxury footwear is the gateway for men's customers into fashion and the new shoe experience is just the beginning of exciting things to come for our menswear offering," said Marc Metrick, president of Saks Fifth Avenue, in a statement. "Men's is a growing category at Saks, where we have seen a consistently positive customer response both in our stores and online. We are continuing to redefine the luxury shopping experience while giving our customers another compelling reason to shop with Saks."

Saks has invested 250 million dollars in its ongoing Grand Renovation project since 2015. Previous steps of the project have included its main floor, second floor beauty department, global designer fashion selections on the third floor and its new The Collective and The Advance contemporary fashion destinations on the fifth floor.
