Los Angeles - Womenswear boutique Satine just confirmed that it will be closing its local shop in SoCal. The brand is closing its Los Angeles flagship Thursday, July 28.

The brand confirmed to Racked LA that the store will close its doors. Satine occupied the Los Angeles location for approximately 12 years. Currently the Third Street location served as the brand’s original flagship in the U.S. Satine was founded by Jeannie Lee in 2003, with the boutique opening within the next year. The luxe designer store is known for its European-inspired clothing with the quirkiness and chic style of both Japan and Los Angeles. The brand offers a high-low retail concept with various fashion-forward pieces. Although the store is closing, Racked LA reported that Satine currently has a location open in Abbot Kinney for Satine’s sister store, entitled Satine Kawaii.

Satine has built a cult following of celebrities, stylists, and editors in the fashion industry. The brand has become quite established in the U.S., with even the Los Angeles Fashion Council naming Satine as “Retailer of the Year” once. Lee, founder of the brand, started Satine with a background in fashion marketing and merchandising at Polimoda Institute of Fashion in Florence. Her knowledge and travel experiences brought her to create the concept and built out the brand.
