SemSem has opened a new pop-up shop at Café Milano. The contemporary women's brand, founded by creative director Abeer al Otaiba, celebrated the opening of the pop-up shop with a cocktail event. The pop-up shop will benefit the Children's National Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.

Children's National is home to the region's only Cardiac Intensive Care Unit dedicated to neonates, infants, children, and adults with acquired and congenital heart disease. The state-of-the-art unit combines the most advanced care and research technologies, with a design that is centered around families and healing.

SemSem already counts Moda Operandi, Net-a-Porter, and Modist as stockists, but experimenting with a new pop-up retail format will help them test out the waters for a potential brick-and-mortar presence. The brand is described as a cosmopolitan blend of Egyptian, Emirati, and French influences and is developing a strong international customer base.

The pop-up shop will be open until November 24 from 11 am to 7 pm.
