Shoes.com is having a rough start to 2017. The company’s three e-commerce sites were just announced to be shut down this past Friday.

The three sites that shut down include OnlineShoes.com, ShoeME.ca and Shoes.com. Ranking as 151 in Internet Retailer’s Top 500 list, it seems that the company’s online platforms have suffered. There was no public statement from the company on why the three websites closed, however the company stated that “a limited group of employees will stay on” although the company may hinder its remaining operations.

Shoes.com originally made approximately 223 million dollars in sales last year, according to Internet Retailer. Without any public statement, it seems to call into question why the website closed. The closure of its websites also follows The Limited and Wet Seal announcing their bankruptcy filings. At the moment, its websites are down but currently there is no official information that Shoes.com will go through Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
