Starting August 1, Los Angeles-based Skingraft will be available for retail shoppers in the Bay Area. The edgy, contemporary brand will open its new space in San Francisco this Saturday.

The new boutique will offer womenswear, menswear, and accessories from all collection. The 800 square-foot space will be set in the Mission District. The brand is known for its straight-forward, modern designs with a bit of Los Angeles style. The pop-up will be open from August 1 until mid-September. It will selectively showcase fall items near the end of August. “We decided on San Francisco for the pop-up location because it’s always been our dream to return home with the Skingraft vision,” Christopher Cota, co-founder of the label, told WWD. The publication also revealed that Jonny Cota, co-founder of the avant-garde brand, believed the nightlife culture of the Bay Area city was a huge influence on the early years of the brand.

The company, although based in Los Angeles, was established from the two Cota brothers. Together, they founded the company in 2006 in SoCal. They both were born and raised in San Francisco, which prompts the new move. The new pop-up will be on Valencia Street in San Francisco. Currently, the store operates through its e-commerce site and off of various showrooms. There is a brick-and-mortar store in downtown Los Angeles that has done extremely well.
