Retail

Suitsupply has begun reopening stores in states where retail stores have been permitted to reopen. In an effort to protect their customers from contracting coronavirus, free-standing, see-through partitions have been installed to create a barrier between sales associates and customers.

Suitsupply is also trying to limit the number of walk-in customers and have tried to shift to primarily appointments to help customers meet their suiting needs. Customers are encouraged to select clothes online before arriving, and once they arrive at a store their fitting rooms will be ready with the items they selected freshly steamed and ready for them to try on.

Suitsupply could potentially be a model for some retailers on how to handle employee and customer safety as lockdowns begin to lift. Other retailers, like Mango, have adopted intense safety and hygiene measures including limiting the number of customers in stores, continuous cleaning, limiting open times and supplying employees and customers with personal protective equipment such as face masks.
