SwimSpot San Diego pop-up prompts new locations

SwimSpot, premier designer swimwear company, launched their first store in San Diego earlier this month. The store was initially intended to be a temporary pop-up, but based on effective results, this leads SwimSpot to open additional locations in Southern California.

The store opened on May 2 in Escondido. RAJ Manufacturing’s SwimSpot currently holds a strong relationship with Westfield, shopping centre group. Westfield approached SwimSpot with an opportunity to fill a space at the mall location for a summer season. At the location, SwimSpot showcases their designer brands including Hurley, Nautica, Ella Moss, and more. The company carries swimwear including bathing suit tops, bottoms, one-pieces, and more. Along with swim apparel, the stores have trained fit specialists to help consumers find their desired swimsuit. SwimSpot is also known for its SoCal brands that are designed and produced in the Orange Country area. The majority of the brands SwimSpot owns are cut and sewn in California such as Ella Moss, Hurley, Splendid, and Basta. Three out of four of all of SwimSpot’s swimwear is manufactured in California (either in San Diego, Orange County, or Los Angeles). Prices for the swimsuits range in price from 15.50 to 348 dollars.

Pop-up SwimSpot shop in San Diego produces results

Due to the success of the shop in Escondido, the SwimSpot team is searching for other opportunities to open up a boutique. “Everything’s been going really well for the store,” said Rose Januzzi, executive vice president for SwimSpot. The shop was intended originally as a pop-up only for the summer season. “The traffic has exceeded our expectations,” said Januzzi. Based on this, Januzzi stated that SwimSpot has been searching for other locations in the San Diego area to open up a boutique. Currently, SwimSpot has stores based in the Los Angeles area including Santa Monica, Glendale, Topanga, Thousand Oaks and more. Based on demographics and analytics, SwimSpot’s ideal locations include spots from Ventura to Santa Barbara.

RAJ Manufacturing is a parent company to SwimSpot. RAJ Manufacturing has been in business for over 47 years. SwimSpot was founded in 2010 starting with an e-commerce launch. Their online success led to their first pop-up shop at the Irvine Spectrum.
