Tadashi Shoji, Los Angeles-based designer, confirmed that his eveningwear boutique will open on June 20. The redesigned store will open at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.

The space occupies 1,175 square feet. According to WWD, Shoji hired (M)Arch., architecture company, to redesign the space for his boutique. The new space will reflect a deco-modern feel with glass textures and a catwalk placed in the store. The boutique will also have a flat screen that will show footage of Shoji’s runway shows of previous and current collections. The innovative redesign creates a unique shopping experience for customers as a runway theme is present throughout the store’s interior.

Shoji is known as an American fashion design who originally was born in Japan. The designer curated and founded the Tadashi Shoji label. In June 2012, Shoji joined the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). Since creating his label, his designs have won fashion acclaim and a loyal following among various celebrities.

Shoji’s eponymous line is known in particular for its red carpet and evening gowns geared towards luxury and high-end style. The brand was founded in 1982 and currently operates boutiques in United States and China. Tadashi Shoji is sold throughout over 400 retailers and department stores worldwide.
