Tadashi Shoji's claim to fame is his evening gowns. Due to popular demand, the designer will also now be releasing his first girls' collection. With inspiration from his best selling designs, Tadashi Shoji Kids will finally give his customers, who have long been requesting a kids line, the junior fashions they have dreamed about.

Sizes for the comfort driven design line will range from 2T to 10. Each dress will have Shoji's signature based flower motif worked into their designs. Shoji's girls' collection will debut on July 31, and will retail from 148 dollars to 328 dollars.

The collection will first launch on Tadashi Shoji's website, tadashishoji.com, in addition to being carried in his boutiques in South Coast Plaza and Las Vegas, Saks Fifth Avenue Dubai, and other global specialty and department stores. The line is also expected to include many of Shoji's signature fabrics, including tulle, crepe, and embroidered lace. Shoji, whose collection is sold in more than 700 stores around the globe, is expected to find strong success with his girls' collection due to his already large retail base.

“The expansion into children’s wear allows for me to share my vision with a younger audience,” the designer was quoted saying to WWD. “My designs are created for movement and comfort. Children should be able to have fun and move freely throughout any special occasion.”
