Ted Baker opens new Malibu location next month

Los Angeles - London-based Ted Baker is opening a new retail boutique set in Malibu. The company’s newest location will open mid-October at Malibu Country Mart.

The luxury clothing company is known for its designer take on both womenswear and menswear. The London brand incorporates sophisticated, chic styles with an overall contemporary chic. Apparel for the brand consists of blouses, jackets, mini-skirts, wrap cardigans, bow dresses, and more. Prices range from approximately 185 to 519 dollars in price. The new Malibu location will encompass 956 square feet. The store’s aesthetic will match the ambience of the Country Mart, reflecting a beachy, West Coast vibe. The brand will also incorporated limited edition surfboards in order to help solidify the Malibu-influenced decor. The boutique will open its doors October 16 on Friday.

The premium British label was established in the United Kingdom in 1988. Founded by chief executive officer Ray Kelvin, the brand launched its first store the same year in Glasgow. The brand then proceeded to open stores in Manchester, Plymouth and Nottingham. Since then, the brand has expanded globally from Shanghai to Tokyo to New York. The company has approximately 8,000 employees currently and an estimated revenue of 387.6 million euros. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
