The Texas Collective, a partnership of emerging Texas brands, has opened their first pop-up shop inside the historic Henderson Avenue Shopping District in Dallas, Texas this past weekend, April 16.
The brands featured include Criquet Shirts, Hari Mari flip flops ,Tecovas handmade Western boots, and watch and leather goods maker Jack Mason.
“The Texas Collective brings all the signature pieces of Texan style together in one place,” said Billy Nachman, co-founder of Criquet Shirts. “It’s an amazing opportunity to be among the brands featured while also allowing our neighbors in Dallas to see just how great our products are first hand.”
Criquet shirts got started in 2010 after Nachman and his business partner Hobson Brown set out on a quest to find the perfect polo shirt after years of lamenting great and hard-to-replace polo shirts. Eventually, the duo decided to design and make their own.
According to Nachman, the reason they decided to be part of the Texas Collective pop-up is because it "is a great way for us to partner and collaborate with some great Texas brands, share resources, and test the retail appetite in one of our better selling markets, Dallas, TX." He went on to add that "Given that Criquet is an Austin-based brand and Texas is our strongest market for our direct, online business, Dallas seemed to be the perfect fit for testing the pop-up concept. In addition, we thought bringing together a collection of Texas brands would be a unique and appropriate offering for the Dallas market."
Price points for the collection range from 75 dollars for their best-selling solid color Players Shirts to 110 dollars for their Texas-Made Button downs. The pop-up shop will be open from Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until July 2016.
