Düsseldorf’s Euroshop trade fair just awarded one of Saks Fifth Avenue’s locations in Toronto. The Canadian store received EuroShop RetailDesign Award from EHI and Messe Düsseldorf for 2017.

The store was graded on its approach towards a clear target as well as its message. The store also had to represent a consistent concept as well as a successful fusion of materials, lighting, architecture, visual merchandising, and a well-rounded color palette in order to achieve this award. Telling a concise story while also celebrating the history of the brand, Saks Fifth Avenue’s Toronto location happen to hit all of the marks.

The luxury department store was awarded the RetailDesign honor along with two other locations. Rose Biketown in Bocholt, Germany as well as Primark in Madrid, Spain won at the Euroshop as well for their unique ideas. These three winners competed against 80 competitors in 27 countries. Graded on a wide range of criteria, these three were able to stand out amongst competing locations to show off a truly uniquely designed store.
