Los Angeles - The unisex contemporary label has recently decided to shutter its athletic spin-off store.

The temporary pop-up offered Theory’s activewear apparel including tack pants, jersey tops, cotton hoodies, jersey coats and other athletic-driven gear. Prices for workout apparel from Theory+ ranged approximately from 55 to 295 dollars. Introducing the concept label to the Los Angeles area, the New York-based brand brought in Theory+ earlier this spring. The space opened earlier this year on Melrose Avenue as a temporary pop-up. The space opened earlier this year to “test the workout wear waters,” according to Racked LA. The sophisticated menswear and womenswear label disclosed to the publication that its activewear counterpart has closed for good.

Although Theory+ has closed, the brand will still keep its original store on Melrose open. Currently, Theory has boutiques located throughout the United States including Colorado, New York, California, Georgia, and more. The brand has three international stores open in with one in England and two in France. The brand was established in 1997 by founder Andrew Rosen. The brand is known for its iconic uniform take on fashion with a heavy contemporary influence. The company started in New York and eventually grew out into other states and countries. The company currently holds between 501-1000 employees.
