Toms Optical makes online debut with Jonas Paul Eyewear
Toms Optical has launched online with Jonas Paul Eyewear, marking the first time that the eyewear collection from the footwear brand is available to shop online.
Marking an expansion for both brands, the collaboration includes the launch of the Toms x Jonas Paul collection, a limited-edition line exclusively online. The collection includes a curated assortment of Toms optical frames that reflect the brand’s signature laid-back Californian aesthetic, with Jonas Paul's focus on fit, comfort, and everyday wearability.
The launch is in line with Toms and Jonas Paul’s ongoing support of Helen Keller International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating the causes and consequences of blindness, poor health, and malnutrition, an initiative that reflects both brands' commitment to improving lives around the world.
The Toms x Jonas Paul collection comes a little more than a year after Jonas Paul Eyewear announced its acquisition of the Toms Optical and Sunglass license. The acquisition saw two mission-aligned brands- Toms, whose One for One model (launched with footwear in 2006 and later extended to eyewear) gives back with every purchase, and Jonas Paul, whose "Buy Sight, Give Sight" initiative focuses on preventing blindness- come together.
Originally a children's eyewear specialist, Jonas Paul has since grown into the wider market, including a strong branded and private-label adult readers business. “As experts in the eyewear industry, we are thrilled to continue Toms' eyewear legacy and take the brand to new heights,” said Ben Harrison, CEO of Jonas Paul Eyewear, in a statement at the time. “This partnership enables us to honor Toms' core values of giving back, while expanding their eyewear offerings and distribution.”
