Toni Hacker, who founded accessories label Hayden-Harnett with her husband Ben Harnett, has a new label up her sleeve. Well, more like a new sleeve with her new label on it.

The designer's new label Thacker is now available exclusively through their e-commerce channel thackernyc.com. The concept behind the line is mix-and-match essentials for women.

“It offers women a solid wardrobe of updated classics with modern edge that travel with ease, are made from great materials and flatter a range of body types,” Hacker explained to WWD, aiming to recreate “the pieces that, as a busy woman, I found myself reaching for every day.”

Hacker wanted to create wardrobe staples for women that would fit easily into their day-to-day lives. The company also follows a direct-to-consumer business model, which is similar tot he model that Hacker followed when she was with Hayden-Harnett. She aimed the designs at women of all ages and sizes so there is something for everybody. The collection is accessibly priced as well.

Price points for her collection range from 48 dollars for tees and tanks to 698 dollars for shearling coats.

Hacker also worked with accessories label Modern Vice to develop a footwear collection for her fall debut. Her entire footwear line is priced under 400 dollars. Her line also includes jewelry that she designed with Amy Shepsman of Flaca.

Direct-to-consumer, which has been made possible thanks to e-commerce and is championed by brands like Warby Parker, has become popular among emerging fashion brands. It cuts out the wholesale middle man, making clothes more accessibly priced for consumers. It is also cheaper than opening a physical store, hence Thacker's affordable price points.
